DUE DATES |
Billing begins when the meter is set or
unlocked. Since service is now available,
a minimum bill will be charged each month even
if there is no water usage. Meters are
read and billed monthly, stating the amount due,
the delinquent date and the delinquent amount.
Bills are due upon receipt, delinquent after the
15th. Bills not paid by the delinquent
date will be charged a 10% penalty. If
payment is not received by the last day of the
month, the meter will be locked; a collector
will not come to the door to collect.
After the meter is locked, the entire bill must
be paid plus a $100.00 reconnect fee. This
must be paid in cash, certified check or money
order. A returned check is regarded as an
unpaid bill. The customer will be charged
a service charge each time a check is returned.
**It is the customers responsibility to turn the valve to restore service after the lock has been removed.
